Once Upon a Time: The Sleeping Beauty is a magical experience that will make you gasp, dream and laugh. This special one-hour version of David McAllister's The Sleeping Beauty is performed with a full orchestra and narrated by one of the central characters, Catalabutte. With a run-time of approximately 60-minutes, and perfect for children aged three and above, it's fun, interactive and will have the little ones twirling for joy. 

Fairies, a villain and a sleeping princess ... Once Upon a Time: The Sleeping Beauty has all the magic and wonder of the full-length production in a child-friendly format.

In these free talks, Music Director and Chief Coordinator of Orchestra Victoria, Nicolette Fraillon, will chat about the composers featured in the Australian Ballet's 2017 season. She'll explain how their cultural context influenced their music; talk about tempo, orchestral colour and texture; and give you insights into how ballet scores evolved to powerful works of art.
