Sondheim on Sondheim

Due to inclement weather conditions in both Queensland and New South Wales which have subsequently affected audience numbers and ticket sales, producers of Sondheim on Sondheim have made the difficult decision to cancel the upcoming Australian tour.
Originally produced on Broadway in 2010 and hailed as a "revelatory revue full of wonderful moments", the Tony nominated production of Sondheim on Sondheim is an intimate portrait of the much-loved songwriter in his own words and music.
A giant and legend of the arts; the Pulitzer Prize winning composer not only changed the musical theatre landscape forever, but he also helped forge it. Sondheim both set and raised the bar of what is possible within the artform.
Ranging from the beloved to the obscure, the carefully selected two-dozen songs delve into Sondheim's work in way that will both entertain and fascinate. Sondheim works featured are from 19 Sondheim shows including West Side Story, Company, Sunday in the Park with George, Merrily We Roll Along and Into the Woods.

Frequently Asked Questions
View all FAQsWhat time do I need to arrive before a show?
We recommend that you arrive at least 15-30 minutes before the performance starts – or earlier if you would like to enjoy a drink in one of the theatre’s licensed bars.
What if I'm late and the performance has started?
Live theatre has a ‘lock-out’ policy; a period after the curtain goes up when late-comers are not permitted to enter the auditorium. Lock-out periods are set by the production and vary from show to show. Patrons arriving late will be admitted when there’s a suitable break in the performance.
