Accessibility

We are committed to providing an inclusive and accessible experience for all our guests.

The Capitol Theatre is an accessible venue and provides an elevator to all levels for patrons.

Wheelchair and transfer seating

Stalls Row WWW is a raised platform section reserved for wheelchair bookings. It offers good views of the stage and can accommodate a companion. These seats can be booked by contacting us to request a call back. Our Box Office will call you to complete your booking as soon as possible, between the hours of Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm.

If you can transfer from a wheelchair/mobility scooter into a theatre seat, we suggest booking an aisle seat in the Stalls. Our ushers will happily assist in storing your mobility aid and bring it to you when required.

Limited mobility or trouble with stairs

If you have trouble negotiating stairs, the Stalls provide the easiest access. Ramp access is available via Door 2. Most of the seats in the Dress Circle have stairs to negotiate.

Companion Card bookings

Companion Card holders can book by contacting us to request a call back. Our Box Office will call you to complete your booking as soon as possible, between the hours of Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm.

Accessbile bathrooms

Accessible bathrooms are located on both the Stalls and Dress Circle levels.

Hearing Loop

A Hearing Loop is available in sections of the Stalls and Dress Circle, in the highlighted area of this seating map. Patrons should adjust their hearing aids to "T" for reception.

Theatre staff can also provide an ‘Intelligent DSP RF Receiver (150MHZ)’ which can be worn around your neck for the duration of the performance. The RF Receiver works in all theatre seats. There are limited devices available, however we will do our best to assist you on your visit.

Service dogs

Accredited service dogs are allowed to enter the theatre upon presentation of accreditation proof. Service dogs must always remain on a leash and on the floor.
